Mark has tried cases in more than 50% of the counties in Oregon as well as five other states. He is an experienced, well-traveled litigator who uses his invaluable insights to help solve all types of legal disputes with intelligence, integrity, and civility.
His practice focuses on complicated and significant financial disputes, including civil litigation, professional malpractice, personal injury, large asset non-custody divorce proceedings, estate administration including conservatorships, guardianships, trusts, probates and estate planning disputes. Mark is an exceptional communicator who quickly understands the essence of his clients' needs. He works on cases from beginning to end, including through appeal if necessary, which allows him to take what he learns and apply it to other cases.
Legal disputes are stressful, but Mark makes his clients feel comfortable and respected while he fights for them. He is mindful of doing what is in the best interests of his clients, whether that is considering settlement options or taking a case through trial. Mark believes in being fair and respectful to all parties at all times, and has often been referred cases by opposing counsel who appreciate his professionalism.
Mark is the President and board member of the Multnomah County Law Library, and he is a counselor and board member of William Temple House, a regional provider of emergency social services.
